FENEKAbout the system
The FENEK network of acoustic sensors detects aerial targets by the sound of their engines.
Thanks to the use of a system of connected microphone arrays, this development is more effective than other existing systems based on broadband microphones.
With the mathematical processing of the digitized signals from the microphones, the acoustic system determines the azimuth, elevation angle and the type of target. It ensures a high probability of correctly determining that the target is aerial and ignores all extraneous sounds (e.g., a moped passing by or cows mooing).

Solutions for the protection of infrastructure facilities
FENEK’s tiered network of acoustic sensors can be built at the national, regional, or individual critical infrastructure level with automatic transmission of information about aerial targets and visualization of their trajectories on the tablets of security units equipped with firearms or close-range air defence systems.
The threat today is to the following facilities:
- Energy;
- Gas supply;
- Water supply;
- Financial services;
- Transportation, logistics, etc.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the total amount of damage caused to Ukraine’s infrastructure due to the full-scale invasion of Russia as of June 2023 reached $150.8 billion, including $45.9 billion in damages to critical infrastructure sectors.
